Why we built Kismat

A better way to hold the whole celebration.

Thoughtful planning for South Asian and fusion weddings, without flattening what makes each one personal.

Founded by Asad, Adel and Sana

Built by family,
for celebrations shaped by family.

Kismat Stories was founded by three siblings, Asad, Adel and Sana, around a simple belief: the planning experience should understand the scale, beauty and family life of the celebration itself.

Too often, couples are asked to hold a multi-day wedding together across spreadsheets, group chats, vendor tabs and conversations no one else can see.

The wedding was never too complicated. The planning tools were too disconnected.

The idea behind Kismat

Less chasing.
More presence.

When information has a place, families can spend less time reconciling versions and more time making the celebration their own. Kismat brings the practical work into view while leaving room for every family to do things differently.

How we build

Cultural depth.
Practical calm.

01

Hold the whole celebration

Events, guests, traditions and decisions belong together because that is how the wedding is experienced.

02

Make space for family

Couples stay in control while parents, relatives and planners can understand what needs them.

03

Respect every version of the story

Kismat supports different communities, faiths and combinations without forcing one definition of a South Asian wedding.

The Kismat ecosystem

From first idea
to final RSVP.

One considered place to shape the wedding, find what belongs in it and share the details that matter.

What guides us

Calm over clutter.
Utility over filler.
Honesty over hype.

Kismat should make a complex celebration feel understandable without reducing it to a template. That means thoughtful structure, flexible cultural context, truthful information and respect for every couple, family and guest.

Start with your celebration

Make space for the part that matters.

Tell us what you are planning. Kismat will help bring the events, people and next decisions into view.
